In Kooperation mit Südwind OÖ und SISUMMA zeigt das Moviemento im Juli den Dokumentarfilm Dil Leyla von Aslı Özarslan. Leyla Imret, eine junge Frau aus Deutschland, wird mit sechsundzwanzig Jahren nach ihrer Rückkehr in die Türkei Bürgermeisterin in ihrer kurdischen Heimatstadt Cizre an der syrisch-irakischen Grenze. Ihr Ziel ist es, die vom Bürgerkrieg zerstörte Stadt zu sanieren. Als dann im Juni 2015 Soldaten aufmarschieren, wird Leyla von ihren Kindheitserinnerungen eingeholt, in denen die Ermordung ihres Vaters und die Flucht nach Deutschland ihr Leben prägte. Im Anschluss an den Film findet ein Filmgespräch mit dem interkulturellen Coach Sabri Opak statt.

In cooperation with Südwind and SISUMMA the Moviemento cinema Linz will present the documentary "Dil Leyla" by Aslı Özarslan on the 21st of July. Leyla Imret, a young woman from Germany, becomes mayoress in her Kurdish hometown Cizre at the Syrian-Iraqi border, twenty-six years after she left Turkey. Her goal is to rehabilitate the city that has been destroyed by civil war. But when soldiers appear during the parlamentary elections in June 2015, Leyla is summoned by her childhood memories of her father's assassination and and her flight to Germany. Following the film, a film interview will take place with the intercultural coach Sabri Opak.
